While we at Beta Alpha Psi are proud of our close network of alumni and current members, Beta Alpha Psi is not a fraternity, but an accounting honor society.
No, we do not have a rush process. However, we do have a pledge process with hourly professional and community service event requirements.
Beta Alpha Psi takes applications anytime throughout the year. There is no rushing process. Once you submit your application, it will be reviewed by the Executive Board to ensure you’ve met all academic requirements. You will then be emailed about the pledging process and member benefits.
This application fee covers a lifelong national membership to Beta Alpha Psi. You will gain access to exclusive networking events and socials with Fortune 500 companies, in depth workshops to help build your career, and a mentorship team that is ready to guide you through it all. There are no other hidden fees or other monetary requirements to become a member of Beta Alpha Psi.
Yes, UCLA undergraduate students can attend events that are open to the public. Please check our events page to find out if an event is open to the public. Generally, community service, socials, and mentorship team events are not open to non-members.
Though Beta Alpha Psi is an accounting honor society, our goal is to support our members no matter their career goals. Members gain not just insight into the accounting industry, but also the business world as we place a focus on training members in networking, interviewing, and more. Our past members have pursued internships in not just accounting, but also consulting, marketing, and investment banking related fields.
Members must give a 24 hour notice of cancellation by emailing our VP of Compliance at [email protected] with your name, UCLA ID, and event. If proper notice is not given, members will not be allowed to attend events for the remainder of the quarter. For Fall Resume Workshop, members must give a 48 hour notice of cancellation.
If you are a paid pledge/member and have missed our initial mentorship placement in the beginning of Fall, please email our VP of Internal Relations at [email protected] with your name, graduation year and interest.
A pledge is an undergraduate student who has paid membership fees and submitted a pledge application, but has not completed the required professional and community service hours. A member is an undergraduate student who has completed the pledging process and has been initiated at our annual spring initiation ceremony.
